firebase-appcheck

This module is a direct forward of the Firebase App Check library. It attests that requests to Firebase backends come from your app, with the debug, Play Integrity (Android), reCAPTCHA Enterprise, DeviceCheck and App Attest (Apple) or reCAPTCHA v3 (web) providers, or a provider of your own.

The platform SDKs install a provider factory differently. On Android installAppCheckProviderFactory applies to the app at any time. The iOS SDK reads the factory when an app is configured, so on Apple platforms set it with FirebaseAppCheck.setAppCheckProviderFactory before Firebase.initialize. The JS SDK starts App Check for an app once, with the first factory installed. On Android the module brings the Firebase libraries of every provider it mirrors (firebase-appcheck-debug, firebase-appcheck-playintegrity and firebase-appcheck-recaptcha), so that common code can use any of them. An app that does not use one can exclude its library, for example exclude(group = "com.google.firebase", module = "firebase-appcheck-recaptcha"); the module's own classes do not refer to them.
