PocketOracle ("we", "our", or "us"), created by Oaie Cornel-Sebastian, is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the PocketOracle mobile application ("the App") and how it is used. The App is provided as a freemium service on an "as is" basis.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information We Do Not Collect

PocketOracle does not collect, store, or transmit your questions or any personally identifiable information to our servers. All oracle answers are generated locally on your device from a built-in set of responses — your question text, voice, images, and personal content never leave your device.

The App does not use artificial intelligence (AI) or large language model (LLM) technologies, and does not send your input to any AI service for processing. The App also does not access your precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library, and does not display third-party advertising.

1.2 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) – collects anonymous usage events to help us understand how the App is used. Events include: screen views, questions asked, pages swiped, navigation chevrons tapped, language selected, edition switched (Love / Standard), upgrade button tapped, dialogs shown or dismissed, and customer care opened. Event properties may include the current edition, screen, swipe direction, language code, source, and dialog type. No personal or identifying information (such as your name, email, or the text of your questions) is attached to these events. Firebase itself may additionally collect standard device-level data such as approximate IP-derived region, device model, operating system version, and app-session timing. • Firebase Crashlytics (Google) – collects anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version) so we can diagnose and fix stability issues. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Remote Config (Google) – used to remotely configure app behavior such as the daily question limit, the cooldown timer, and the minimum required app version. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat – used to manage in-app subscriptions and purchase status. RevenueCat may collect purchase history and subscription state tied to your App Store or Google Play account. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Services – required on Android devices to deliver Firebase and Google Play billing functionality. See the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Local Data Storage

PocketOracle stores the following data locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data never leaves your device:

• Your selected app language
• Whether Love Edition mode is enabled
• Your daily question usage count (used to enforce the free-tier limit)
• The timestamp at which your daily question limit resets
• Whether the pro-feature swipe hint has already been shown to you

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscription and one-time purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not have access to your payment information. Purchase and subscription status is managed via RevenueCat as described in Section 1.2.

4. How We Use Information

Anonymous analytics data is used solely to improve the App — for example, to understand which features are used and whether daily limits are appropriately set. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties beyond what is described in this policy, and we do not use your information to send marketing emails or push marketing messages.

5. Legal Disclosure

We may disclose information we hold (or that is held on our behalf by third-party services):

• when required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or similar legal process;
• when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
• to trusted service providers (such as Google/Firebase and RevenueCat) who work on our behalf, do not have an independent right to use the information we share with them, and have agreed to handle it consistent with this policy.

6. Data Retention

Local on-device data is retained until you delete the App. Analytics data retained by Firebase is subject to Google's data retention policies. RevenueCat retains purchase data in accordance with their privacy policy.

7. Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the App at any time by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process on your device or via the App Store or Google Play. You may also limit analytics collection through your device's privacy settings — for example, by resetting or limiting your advertising identifier, or by disabling analytics for the App where your operating system provides that option.

8. Security

We take the confidentiality of your information seriously. PocketOracle is designed around data minimization — we do not operate our own servers and we do not collect question text, personal profiles, or contact details — so there is very little user data for us to hold in the first place. For the limited data handled by third-party services on our behalf (Firebase and RevenueCat), we rely on those providers' physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, which are described in their own privacy policies linked above.

9. Children's Privacy

PocketOracle is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us at the address below so that we can take appropriate action.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information held about you. Because we do not directly store personal data, requests should be directed to the relevant third-party services (Google/Firebase, RevenueCat) or to your device's app settings to clear local data. 11. Your Consent

By using the App, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, including any future amendments we publish on this page.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
